The Burger Joint Review

We recently visited The Burger Joint that has opened up in Fishponds, Bristol. I've never seen one before so wasn't really sure what to expect.
The inside was rad! It was lovely and open with a really welcoming vibe. I loved how the place was laid out, there's either a choice of a booth or a table that fit's 2-4 people. We sat on a table by the wall so we could see what was going on around us.

We arrived about 7pm and it was pretty empty as you can see. There were a few people sat in front of us but other than that we were thinking they were in for a slow night... WRONG! By the time we left every seat was taken and people were queueing up against the back wall for a table. I get it though, the food was great!

The place is pretty quirky, you order using the pad and pencils provided and give it to a staff member. There was so much to choose from, I didn't know where to start! It's pretty simple though, you pick your burger, toppings, two sauces and sides. Burger prices vary depending on what you have, for example Chris' Wild Boar burger cost more than my standard 6oz Prime Beef pattie. However the prices are laid out for you in the menu so you won't have any nasty surprises on your bill. Toppings cost 80p each or 3 for £1.95, so obviously we had 3.

It took about 25 minutes for our food to arrive, by this time it was getting pretty busy and we were really hungry!

It was totally worth the wait. I'd even go as far to say it was probably the best burger we've ever had! I mean we're usually satisfied with a Gourmet Burger Kitchen meal, but this was something else! I took the onion rings out of mine so they were basically another side order and the bacon was super crispy. The sweet potatoes were on another level! They were crispy on the outside and so fluffy and light on the inside. Sooo good!

The prices were really good considering the burger also comes with two sauces and a side. A burger in GBK could be around £10 from a preset menu, then sides and sauces cost extra.

Overall this place is pretty rad, I would definitely recommend trying it at least once! The only problem is that it's around the corner from us...
